Event Details

Children's Ministers of the North Texas Conference are invited to network with each other and learn about other ministries in the Conference. The Office of Life Stage Ministries will host these events once per month (except June, July and December) at various churches and agencies around our Conference.The on-going vision of these events will be to promote "best practices," support, nurture, share information and advance children's ministries.

January's topic will be "Lent," led by Allyson George of FUMC Richardson. We will also cover the details of the Confirmation Celebration with the Bishop, including a tour of the Children's Education Wing at FUMC-Denton.

The format of the event will be:

     9:45 am             Gathering

     10:00 - 10:30     Special Topic

     10:30 - 11:00     Professional topics, policy reviews and resourcing

     11:00 - 11:30     Round Table Discussion

     11:30 - 12 noon  Tour

     12 noon              (Optional) Networking Lunch

The North Texas Annual Conference of The United Methodist Church, under the Episcopal leadership of W. Earl Bledsoe, is home to over 300 churches in four districts. We hope to serve those in the North Texas area by our prayers, presence, gifts, service and witness to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.
